This shawl features a lace panel down the back and a deep garter edging. It’s deliberately simple in order to let the yarn show off its handspun-like beauty! The name comes from Burgundian Royalty.

Finished Size: 20” depth, 68” wingspan

Yarn: Flying Goat Farms Synergy Worsted, 100% merino wool), 200 yards/113 grams. Sample knit in Majesty. Sample used two full skeins.

Needles: 32” circular needle, size 7 US (4.5mm), or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 17 stitches/22 rows per 4 inches in wet-blocked stockinette stitch; gauge is not critical for this item but will affect size, yardage used, and drape.

This is a very simple shawl to make. Excellent for beginners! Size is easily adjustable for whatever amount of yarn you have, so excellent for handspun.
