Capricorn is the 10th astrological sign. It is associated with the months of December and January and originates from the Capricornus constellation. This Latin name means ‘goat horn’, or ‘having horns like a goat’ and is commonly represented as a sea goat—a mythological creature; half goat, half fish.

The Capricorn Cowl is a fun cowl for beginners and experienced knitters alike, with a simple shape with an incredibly effective slipped-stitch pattern that looks bold and couldn’t be more simple to work.

Worked in 2 shades of Tundra, this project creates the cosiest of neck warmers and will no doubt be a favourite for gift knitters.

The Almanac Series II
The Capricorn Cowl is part of The Almanac Series II, which is a seasonal guide to knitting with The Fibre Co. yarns. Based on the original farmer’s Almanac guide to the seasons, this collection celebrates each month of the year with our Yarn of the Month and a new design launch in that yarn.

For The Almanac Series II, we looked to the heavens for inspiration. The beauty and grandeur of the night sky and awe-inspiring astronomical phenomena guided our creativity.
