I love my original Capture the Moment so much that I wanted one in worsted weight.

Like the sport-weight version, this one is worked seamlessly from the top down in a modular fashion, so lots of fun to knit. The border stitch pattern, which is reversible, is worked using a few simple brioche stitches. And the slant pockets are knit in, with only their sides remaining to tack down later.

Finished sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL), with circumferences of 44 (47, 52, 57, 61, 64)“ (measured with front borders overlapped). Recommended for bust sizes: 28-32 (32-38, 38-44, 44-50, 50-56, 56-60)”. The fit is as for a poncho - very loose. Shown in size M (Model is 5’ 7.5” with a 35” bust).

Any Sunday Knits 5 ply (worsted weight - 135 yd per 50 g skein) in Angelic (merino angora), Nirvana (merino cashmere), Eden (merino) or Brigadoon (merino tweed): 11 (12, 13, 15, 16, 17) skeins. Shown in Angelic smoke.

Substitute any worsted-weight yarn that works nicely to gauge: 1425 (1600, 1800, 2000, 2200, 2325) yds.

Techniques used:
Provisional cast-on, basic brioche stitches, reading charts, pick up and knit, yarnover-type short-rows (explained).

Pattern includes:
Schematic, glossary, stitch pattern in charted format only.
