The Cardamom Wrap is a classic, color block blanket scarf that fills many roles in your wardrobe. Wear it as a scarf to accessorize or keep your neck warm. Cozy up on the couch for a candlelit reading session. Get dressed up for a night out and bring your wrap as a shawl against the brisk night air. The Cardamom Wrap can go with you for your corporate job downtown, around town on errands, to an evening party, and onto your sofa for relaxation all in the same day. The rhythmic stitch pattern is simple to learn and mesmerizing to look at. This piece is totally customizable, from the length and width of the wrap (think throw blanket!) to the construction (adapted easily to an infinity scarf or cowl), with guidelines for customization included in the pattern. The color blocking is intentionally designed for symmetry and balance, but can also be adjusted for fewer or more colors. Within this pattern are resources for yarn substitutions, wet blocking, and making modifications based on gauge. This is a great beginner-friendly, introductory pattern to mohair or suri alpaca. This pattern is written in US terminology. BONUS: Coupon code for the Cardamom Earwarmer at the end of the pattern!

7 sts x 9 rows in pattern = 4”, blocked
Gauge is in moss stitch; ch 1 does not count as a stitch for the gauge or pattern.
Approximately 75” long x 18” wide; it can be aggressively wet blocked to fit these measurements due to the nature of the moss stitch and the alpaca fibers.

For my 4 color sample (instructions included in the pattern), I used:
Approximately 232 yards for color 1; I used Feather Gray Melange (gray)
Approximately 173 yards for color 2; I used Noir (black)
Approximately 183 yards for color 3; I used Champagne (tan)
Approximately 232 yards for color 4; I used Berry Sorbet (pink)
