It’s electric! The Electricardi is knit in three pieces which are seamed and wet blocked, before picking up for the sleeves, hem, and neck. This garment features a drop shoulder, ribbed waist, and curved track-style collar with super bulky brioche sleeves that use 3 different yarn weights. Instructions are given for adjusting body length if you prefer a longer garment, and for substituting different yarn weights for the ultimate stash bust. The big sleeves make this a really quick knit, and the mixed fiber weights allow you to play with thickness and texture to really make it your own!

Sizing
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

Needles & Notions
• US 11 (8.00 mm) needles for body
• US 17 (12.00 mm) 16” circular needles for sleeves
• US 8 (5.00 mm) needle for hem and neck
• US 8 (5.00 mm) DPNs for cuffs
• 1 stitch marker to fit size 17 needle
• Waste yarn
• Crochet hook
• Sewing tape measure
• Darning needle
I used 24” circular needles for the body, but any needle length may be used as each piece is worked flat – just ensure your needle has enough length to hold all your back stitches.
Pro tip: Use an inexpensive finger ring as a stitch marker for the size 17 needles! Also, feel free to use slightly smaller needles for sleeves if you have them on hand – size 13 or 15 is fine, but note that this will result in a tighter fabric and smaller armholes and sleeves. You may want to pick up 2-4 extra stitches for the sleeves if you make this adjustment.

Suggested Yarn & Weights
See photo for chart with estimated weights and yardage.
• Body: Worsted/aran weight
• Sleeve MC: Super bulky weight
• Sleeve CC: 1 strand DK, 2 strands fingering, and 1 strand DK weight scraps all held together
For this design, you can really play with texture and hold multiple weights together for any portion of the garment. I used We Are Knitters ‘The Petite Wool’ for the body and a blend of scraps and leftovers for the sleeves. I suggest the following weight conversions for holding strands together:
• 1 strand super bulky = 2 strands worsted = 3 strands DK = 6 strands fingering
• 1 strand DK = 2 strands fingering

Gauge
Body: 12 st/17 rows per 4”/10cm (wet blocked, stockinette)
Sleeves: 5.5 st/7 rows per 4”/10cm (unblocked, two-color brioche)
