The Gemini Moon crop was created during Gemini season, a time for fun and mischief! This top represents the duality of the Gemini twins by incorporating both knitting and crochet techniques – opposite sides of the fiber arts coin. This garment can be worked in DK weight or fingering held double, and is sleeveless and cropped with a high neck. Yarn-overs create a fishnet edge to allow for a simple single crochet and slip stitch trim. Several modifications are given for different back styles and different lengths. Embrace the duality and have fun with it!
Note: The duplicate stitch/intarsia chart for the eye shown on the sample in photo 2 is provided for free along with the pattern!

Sizing
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
30 (34, 38, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 62)”
76 (86, 97, 107, 117) (127, 137, 147, 157) cm
This sweater is designed with 0-2” (0-5cm) positive ease in the bust.

Needles & Notions
• US 8 (5.00 mm) circular needles
• Spare set of 16” circular needles, US 8 or smaller (for joining body)
• US 8 (5.00 mm) crochet hook
• Stitch holders
• Waste yarn
• Sewing tape measure
• Darning needle
I used 16” circular needles for the body, but choose a needle size that is several inches shorter than the finished bust circumference.

Suggested Yarn & Weights
• MC: 400 (450, 500, 550, 600) (650, 700, 750, 800) yards DK weight yarn
• MC: 366 (411, 457, 503, 549) (594, 640, 686, 732) meters DK weight yarn
• CC: 20 (25, 30, 35, 40) (45, 50, 55, 60) yards DK weight yarn
• CC: 18 (23, 27, 32, 37) (41, 46, 50, 55) meters DK weight yarn
For this design, I suggest a DK weight yarn (or equivalent) for the MC (body) and a DK, Aran, or worsted weight for the CC (trim). The cream sample is worked in DK weight yarn with worsted trim. The tan sample is worked in fingering held double for MC and CC. If you plan on adding length to the body, you should allow for additional yardage.
