THE color used in the making of the original garment, from which artist Petrov made his sketch, reproduced here, was a lovely eggshell green. You, of course, may prefer using another color to fashion this attractive cardigan. But, whatever your choice, you can rest assured that your efforts will reward you smartly.

FASTEN the cardigan and trim the patch-pockets with wooden buttons. They give a chic touch to the affair. The directions for knitting follow. You can rely on their accuracy.
