MATERIALS: size US 3 (3.25mm) needles and set of 5 double pointed needles, tapestry needle, waste yarn, 2 markers (optional)
GAUGE: 6 stitches and 8 rows = 1” (2.5 cm) in stockinette st, knitted flat.

NOTES: These mittens are worked flat then seamed. The cardinal is worked in intarsia. The thumb is knit in the round. Knitters using a black-and-white printer may wish to mark their pages while referring to the computer screen as some colors may not show up clearly when printed.
