Caribbean Blue socks are suitable for an enthusiastic beginner. They are knit from the top down in an easy to establish 6-stitch lace repeat. The pattern is written for a medium women’s shoe. It can be adjusted for different sizes by increasing or decreasing 6 stitches at a time. The leg length is 8”, which can also be adjusted to suit individual preference by adjusting the number of pattern repeats. Lace tends to stretch more, so we’ve cast-on less than for a typical medium women’s size. The cuff is a unique mistake rib pattern that flows effortlessly into the leg of the sock. The heel is an adaption of Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Garter Edged heel flap, with a “V” heel at the turn. This works especially well with this particular lace pattern. This is the featured project for the Yarn Mountain Sock Club, May 2013.

Please contact me if there are any questions about the pattern.
