Designed by Courtney Kelley, Carina is a cable and lace beret. The graphic lace panels are set off by delicate small cables, and the decreases at the top form a star motif. The beret is written for two sizes, a shorter length (shown) or one with more slouch.

YARN:
The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere; 159 yds/50 gm skein): carnelian, 1 (2) skeins
GAUGE:
21 sts + 36 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in Lace Pattern, after blocking.
NEEDLES:
1 – 16” US 2 (2.5 mm) circular. 1 – 16” US 4 (3.5 mm) circular and set dpns, or set to obtain gauge.
SIZE:
16” brim circumference, 24.5” body circumference, 7.25 (9)“ height.
