Caritas Abundat
You begin Caritas Abundat by knitting the lace border. Stitches are then picked up from the border, and the body of the shawl is shaped using short rows in garter stitch.
This shawl is named after one of many hymns composed by the iconic Hildegard von Bingen.

One 100 g skein of lace weight yarn (650-800 m/100g).
The sample is worked with Casta Lace from The Wee Yarn Company (50% Falkland, 25 % Gotland, 25% Corriedale), in colour Grapes of Wrath, and used about 540 m of yarn.
