Carl Berner T
The Carl Berner T is knitted top down in Dale Pure Lino. You can use whichever yarn you would like, just make sure you keep the gauge, but the linen gives the garment that nice drape. Plus its nice and cool for the summer heat. The yarn does stretch some with use.
The neck line and length differences on the front and back pieces are shaped using short rows. I have used German Short Rows, but you can use any technique you want.
The pattern is calculated based on the Craft Yarn Council size standards. The garment has a good portion positive ease around the bust and shoulders, but should you want more space around your bust, there are some alteration suggestions in the pattern.
Sizes reach from 28-30 to 60-62, calculated from bust circumference (plus ca 10 cm positive ease): 75 (85) 95 (105) 115 (125) 135 (145) 155 cm. Upper arm circumference: 25 (26) 28 (30,5) 34,5 (39,5) 43 (47) 49,5) cm.
The sleeves are the only part of the garment that have no positive ease, so it could be smart to choose your size based on the upper arm circumference, rather than the bust measurement.
Note that the size 60-62 has not been tested, so should you be interested in testing that size, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Yarn needed:
MC: 250 (250) 300 (300) 350 (400) 450 (500) 500 g
CC1: 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (100) 100 (100) g
CC2: 50 (50) 50 (50) 50 (100) 100 (100) g
Note that you might need extra yarn if you prefer the length of the T-shirt to be longer than the cropped, waist long versions depicted in the pattern.
The pattern is currently only available in Norwegian, but the English version is currently being test knit and is on the way.
