This flat knit shawlette uses two colors of worsted weight alpaca yarn to produce a vertical stripe and has an added lace border in the dominant color. 366 yards of Color A and 210 yards of Color B are used. However, any desired yarn or one color may be used. A minimum of 570 yards total is needed for a similarly sized shawlette. For two colors, a “halving” technique for Color B is used to optimize use of most all of a precious yarn purchase! The result is a warm and cosy shawlette in natural colors.
