This is a relatively simply pattern that includes braids, cables and a bit of lace. It works up quickly and would look great in a nice drapey yarn that contains silk blend, which is what both the samples are done in.

I made the smaller one first, since my mom, for whom this piece is named, wanted to cover her face and ears when she was out in a cold wind. The second one was made to be as much of a neck warmer and infinity scarf for her when it is not so windy as it was to serve the same purpose. She loves the green Alcidina Interstellar Sock yarn’s feel.
