From the book:

“This sturdy felted bag can be made with short handles, giving it a Chanel-like quality, or with longer handles to sling over your shoulder. Get carried away and knit a version of this bag for everyone on your holiday gift list. Be sure to make one for yourself to hold your knitting!“

A good basic, felted bag, with the clever addition of straps that thread through the top and around the body of the bag. The straps are shown felted and unfelted in the book.

Additional materials: tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers, strong sewing thread. The smaller-size knitting needles are DPNs, used to knit the I-cord straps.
