The whole project is crocheted back and forth and built in two main pieces. This pattern uses basic stitches only and simple finishing techniques.

This design was made with 3 mm macrame polypropilene/nylon braided cord. You can find it in haberdasheries, notions and craft supplies stores. Other similar cords as Espiga no.18 twisted nylon cord also work but you should use two strands. Raffia, hemp and jute are suitable too. These materials are good for bags because they have great resistance and durability.

You can also crochet it with t-shirt yarn, cotton, wool or others.
