The Cascade Cowl is a lovely beginner-friendly project for one who is interested in playing and experimenting with color work. It is also great for those are seasoned in stranded color work. The chart repeats are easy to memorize and fun to knit.

One size should fit most easily, but if more drape is desired, simply add one or more repeats of the chart. Keep in mind this will affect the number of stitches cast on as well as the total yardage used.

Two strands of DK weight yarn held together make this cowl a breeze to knit up, making it a perfect project for idle afternoons and evening.

A 16” US 9/5.5mm circular needle is recommended for this cowl. Two skeins of Juniper Moon Patagonia Merino in contrasting colors were used the the sample, though any DK weight should work just fine.
