Pattern creates a triangular-shaped cowl.
Cowl is knit flat, then joined at the back with a 3-needle BO.
Cowl features garter st setup, followed by repeating Trail Motifs (featuring garter or stockinette between eyelet, moss, or ridge textures) complimented with i-cord framing.
All RS rows are odd numbered. All WS rows are even numbered.
Blocking is essential to demonstrate pattern design.

Gauge isn’t crucial, as it’s a cowl, but being off-gauge may affect the finished size and the yardage required.
