Pattern creates a triangular-shaped cowl.
Cowl is knit flat, then joined at the back with a 3-needle BO.
Cowl features garter st setup, followed by repeating Trail Motifs (featuring garter or stockinette between eyelet, moss, or ridge textures) complimented with i-cord framing.
All RS rows are odd numbered. All WS rows are even numbered.
Blocking is essential to demonstrate pattern design.
Pattern is one size.

Difficulty/Skills Required: Intermediate.
Long tail cast on, Knit, Purl, K2tog, YO, Blocking, i-cord, Weaving in ends.

Worsted, or equivalent (three strands of fingering weight held together)

Tapestry needle, Gauge ruler, Blocking Wires, Blocking Pins, Blocking mat.

Needle Size: US 8 / 5 mm 24” / 61 cm circular needle or needle size to get gauge.
Spare needle or double-pointed needle in a smaller gauge.

Gauge: Trail motif, blocked: 16 sts and 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm.
Gauge isn’t crucial, as it’s a cowl, but being off-gauge may affect the finished size and the yardage required.
