Mosaic lace is a combination of increases, decreases and slipped stitches in double rows of colour.
Cascading Hat is a sumptuous, warm beanie style hat, with a complex look that is much easier to create than it appears. Done in a chunky yarn, it’s actually a quick knit.
The pattern could be easily adapted to a child’s size by leaving out 1 pattern repeat, or made larger by increasing needle size.
’Cascading’ is a pattern series - Hat, Cowl and Scarf - that reminds me of the small waterfalls that tumble over rock faces everywhere here in coastal British Columbia.
