Casey & Finnegan, the Canadian childhood icons, are ready to be immortalized in yarn. This pattern gives you everything you need to bring them to life in good old-fashioned crochet.

My patterns feature a lot of photos and specific instructions on where to place everything. No wonkiness.

This is a digital pattern, not a finished toy. If you buy this thinking you’re getting a ready-made Casey & Finnegan, I cannot help you.

What You’ll Need:

DK weight yarn (size 3):

50g each in Navy, Brown, Peach, Yellow, Grey

10g each in Black, White

Scrap amount in Pink

Hook: 3.00 mm

Extras:

Tapestry needle

Fiber fill

Stitch marker (unless you love counting stitches. I don’t.)

Buttons: Two ¼-inch black buttons per character

Black thread and sewing needle

Pattern Deets:

Casey’s legs, body, and head are one continuous piece

The turtleneck, hair, and arms are made separately and sewn on.

Finnegan is worked in parts and then put together (don’t worry, no vet bills required).

Continuous rounds. No joining unless I tell you to. Put a stitch marker in the first stitch of every round unless you enjoy suffering.

Stuff firmly, but not so the stuffing shows through the stitches

Casey is about 6.5 inches tall, and Finnegan is 4.5 inches tall—the perfect pocket pals.

The Fine Print (Read It, Trust Me)

Skill Level: Intermediate (if you know your way around amigurumi, you’re golden).

Language: English, US crochet terms.

Format: PDF (instant download).

Refunds? Nope. This is a digital pattern, so once it’s yours, it’s yours.

Don’t Be That Person

Look, I put a lot of work into this pattern, so don’t go sharing it, selling it, or claiming it as your own. You can sell the finished dolls in small batches—just give credit where it’s due: Fat Lady Crochet.
