The Cassiopeia Cup Cozy is a fair-isle cup cozy meant to fit a cardboard or reusable cup. It’s written for magic-loop style knitting, but you can also use 9” circular needles or double-pointed needles if you prefer.

This is a great project if you have small bits of leftover fingering or sock weight yarn! I like to use Shetland wool because I always have lots of bits and bobs. You will need to make sure you have 5-10g of the main color (this is a rough estimate to make sure that you definitely do not run out!) and you should really only need 2-3g of each contrasting color.

Please note that the colorwork section for this pattern is charted only and does not include written instructions.

If you want to knit different designs on this cozy, the motif itself is 29 stitches by 29 stitches square. You can find any 29x29 motif you like and use it in lieu of the one shown here! The chart in this pattern has three blank stitches on each side in the main color for a total of 32x32 stitches.
