Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover

Beginner level, super fast, and great for craft fairs! Display them on a skillet at your booth and they will FLY off the shelves. Cast Iron has a near cult following and is growing daily in popularity!

This pattern is my version of a cast iron skillet handle cover. Yes, it is safe if you follow a few guidelines and use common sense because well..ovens are super hot!

DO use 100% cotton yarn for this (YOU MUST). Do NOT use acrylic yarn such as Red Heart Super Saver, it is manmade plastic material and will melt and you will hurt yourself and your pan.
DO use this on your stove top as you cook to protect your hand.
DO NOT use this IN the oven, it will catch fire. Instead slip it over the handle when you are ready to remove the pan from the over. Common sense here, use at your own discretion and risk, but I wanted to mention it just in case there was any questions!

I’ve also included a cool recipe..bonus! <3

Enjoy!
