The design of the Castle Maiden-socks combines a delicate, beautiful folded picot edge with a colorwork pattern of simple motifs and stripes of varying widths. As a nice detail to learn there is a French heel, which reminds of the more commonly used Dutch heel.

The socks are knitted from Vuonues gorgeous ochre-colored Finnish lamb wool Sampo yarn and the gentle, soft Drops Nord Uni Colour yarn, which contains wool and alpaca. The rustic texture of the Sampo yarn stands out beautifully against the softness of the smooth alpaca yarn.
