This pattern has been inspired by the castles of Scotland, the textures of the walls and the part that they played in the 18th Century, bought to life by Outlander.

This is an asymmetrical triangular shaped shawl which carries the brickwork of the walls up one side and has chains depicted by a few rows of lace stitching travelling from the walls to the edge.

Its been created using 1 x 100g 4ply yarn, but could easily be made bigger by continuing with the chain work sections until you have your desired size.
I haven’t included a guage chart as you are knitting either one complete skein or to the size you wish the shawl to be.

The yarn I have used for this is Paper Stories, Bellatrix Lestrange
100g/400m 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere and 10% Nylon. 4ply.
