“Have fun storming the castle!” is my favorite line from The Princess Bride.

This hat (as well as the cowl and fingerless mitts) was based on my design for Castle Walls Socks. The socks were designed to look like a castle. The hat has a castle door and a brick pattern for the hat body, and garter rib at the brim and top.

Castle Walls Socks was chosen to be the March 2018 pattern for the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin’ Sock Club. I used my March Club yarn to knit this hat and the Castle Walls Fingerless Mitts.

Yardage approx. 195 (215, 225) yds.
