K – knit stitch.
P – purl stitch.
KFB – increase (knit twice into the same stitch – once through the front of the loop and once through the back loop of the same stitch).
SKPO – left-leaning decrease. Slip one stitch knitwise, knit the next stitch, then lift the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch and off the needle.
K2tog – right-leaning decrease. Knit 2 stitches together.
