Approximately 50 grams (100 to 110 yards) Worsted Weight yarn (A)
Approximately 15 grams (25 to 30 yards) Worsted Weight yarn (B)
Approximately 25 grams (40 to 50 yards) Worsted Weight yarn (C)
Optional: About 1 yard Worsted Weight yarn in “eye color” or 16 small buttons or beads.
Note: Design is particularly effective if a fuzzy, mohair-type yarn is used for C.

Needles
Small/Medium: US 8 – 5.0 mm needles or size needed to give gauge
Large/Extra-Large: US 9 – 5.5 mm needles or size needed to give gauge

Gauge
Small/Medium: 20 sts x 21 rnds = 4” on US #8 needles in Stockinette Stitch color pattern.
Large/Extra-Large: 18 sts x 21 rnds = 4” on US #9 needles in Stockinette Stitch color pattern.
