This is a design for a large teapot. Finished size 32.5(h)x45cm(width around base).
The main reason for this design is that no matter how carefully I pour, there always seems to be some tea spilt on the tea cozy. This design avoids that problem but keeps the tea very warm.
It is basically two rectangles seamed together but the inside is lined with microfleece so that it will insulate. The tab is sewn into the top so that the cozy can be easily removed to pour the tea and replaced.
The design can be personalized by either embroidering the eyes or sticking on purchased eyes onto the cats.
You will need two balls of black and two balls of white DK wool. I have used Cleckheaton country 8ply. A small amount of lining fabric is also required.
The main design uses 4mm needles with the I-cord using 3.25mm double points.
