• Blocking: The sample was made using silk yarn and was not stretched heavily when blocked

The Catalina Camisole features an asymmetrical keyhole, a corded strap across the neck and shoulders, a scoop back, slight vertical bust shaping, and a ribbed hem. It is knit top down, and slightly hugs the bust while draping loosely around the waist. The tank has a negative ease of 5 - 12 cm / 2 - 5 in around the bust, and a positive ease of 4 -10 cm / 1.5 - 4 in around the waist. This pattern would be best for a skill level of advanced beginner or above.

Materials

Yarn: Knitting for Olive Pure Silk 273 yd / 1.76 oz (250 m/ 50g): 100g (100g) 150g (150g) 150g (150g) 150g (200g) 200g

Needles: 3 mm needle with a cable long enough for knitting flat and in the round.
2.5 mm needle for strap
Note: you can just use a needle of any length if you are comfortable with magic loop.
Stitch markers (for marking the beginning of a round)
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Gauge

26 sts × 40 rows = 10 cm / 4 in in stockinette stitch on 3mm needles after blocking. Adjust needle size to meet gauge.

Size Guide

The pattern is graded for sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) **3XL (4XL) 5XL**.
Fit: negative ease of 5 - 12 cm / 2 - 5 in around the bust and 0 - 5 cm / 0 - 2 in around the upper bust, and positive ease of 4 -10 cm / 1.5 - 4 in around the waist. To choose the right size measure your upper bust above the breast and below the armpit and subtract 0 - 5 cm / 0 - 2. Next measure the widest point around your bust and subtract 5-12 cm / 2 - 5 in. Finally, measure your waist and add 4 - 10 cm / 1.5 - 4 in. Then take a look at the size chart and pick the size with the finished measurement A that matches your upper bust and full bust, and B that matches your waist. If you have a larger chest, it is recommended that you choose a size that matches the upper chest and add bust darts later (noted in pattern instructions).
