I was lucky enough to spend a large part of my childhood in England, exploring old buildings and churches with my family. One of our local favorites was the Ely Cathedral, which is filled with brilliant colors and gilt in its many frescoes and stained windows.

This cowl is designed to both imitate the cathedral’s contrast of colors, and knit up specialty mini-skeins in a quick and easy project. Additionally, this cowl can use the most vivid yarns without pooling, since it uses slipped stitches in the stained glass “panels” for a real WOW factor!
