CATHERINE - is a seamless, bottom up, all in one piece construction. It has a garter stitch hem as well as the sleeve openings and neck edge which makes for a reversible, non-curling fabric. The Catherine Wheels lace design up the center front (lace design can be put down the entire back as well or partially down the top front or the top back portion to make it convertible) makes it elegant and stylish for dressy or casual wear. It can be made out of any DK weight yarn (check out the list of options on the pattern and your gauge - I used FibraNatura Radiant Cotton) depending on your climate. Cotton, linen, silk, bamboo and blends are great choices for summer wear. You can also layer it over a long sleeved cotton top for another look. Pair it with caprices, skirts, pants, shorts, or jeans. A lovely staple top to add to your wardrobe. You might want to make a few in basic neutral colors. This is a great first garment pattern for those of you who know how to knit and purl and are ready to try your hand at simple lacework and construction. Happy Knitting!
