Catherine is a soft, lightweight sweater knitted in DROPS Air. The design features a striped body with a Triple Moon motif centred on the front.

The body is worked in the round from the bottom up and divided at the armholes. The front and back are then worked separately, with German short rows shaping the shoulders. The shoulders are joined using a three needle bind off. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round from the top down.

The sweater is designed with approximately 15 cm of positive ease and is available in three sizes: S, M and L.

Catherine is part of MICCA – In Word and Thread, my collection of textile designs dedicated to the memory of victims of the historical witch persecutions. This design is dedicated to Catherine De Le Voye, who was executed in Ellezelles in 1610.
