Spring is here and the world is full of life and flowers and baby bunnies! It’s a lovely time of year…full of new life and promise.

I designed this shawl in honor of my sister, Cathy, who has an April birthday. It’s knitted in a lovely yarn by Peekaboo in the prettiest shades of marshmallow yellow and soft peaches. The yarn is really soft and cuddly, just like those baby bunnies!

This pretty shawl is big and wearable, drapes well and has a smattering of beads hooked on as you go. The beads are optional (400 size 6/0 glass beads); if you’d rather not use beads, simply knit the stitch. There are points pulled down on the bottom and pulled up on the top of the long, asymetrical triangle shape. You’ll have fun styling this around you. This would also make a wonderful Mother’s Day Gift!

The pattern includes a big easy-to-read chart and for those who don’t like using charts, written directions for the chart are included. This is easy, as lace goes!

You will need to know or learn the following stitches: knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, yo, hb. Also there are wraps and turns for the shaping (only on the right side) and complete instructions for w&t, and working the wrap and wrapped stitch together are included.
