The Catrin Hat is a lightweight crochet hat designed for everyday wear.

This pattern is worked in the round using simple stitches to create a smooth, clean texture. The finished hat has a close fit, making it a comfortable option for layering or wearing on its own in milder weather.

The length can be adjusted to create a slouchier fit if desired.

A simple and practical project that works up quickly and is easy to wear.

The yarn I used for this project was given to me by King Cole, Ltd. It is called KC Naturally Soft 4ply. It contains 90% Blue Faced Leicester Wool and 10% Afghan Cashmere. The finished product is beautifully soft and as part of the KC Collection, it has been “designed around the concept of sustainability and moving toward a cleaner world together”.

Yardage: Teen Hat: 2.04 oz (58 g), 240 yds (220 m); Adult Hat: 2.78 oz (79 g), 327 yds (300 m)

Finished Sizes

Child (6-10 years) hat approximately 7 inches tall X 14 inches circumference
Stretches to fit up to 20 inches circumference

Teen (small adult) hat approximately 8 inches tall X 15 inches circumference
Stretches to fit up to 21 inches circumference

Adult hat approximately 9 inches tall X 15.75 inches circumference
Stretches to fit up to 22 inches circumference

Adult hat (large) approximately 10 inches tall X 16.5 inches circumference
Stretches to fit up to 23 inches circumference
