GENERAL INFORMATION

This sweater pattern is designed for the cute guinea pigs of all sizes in your life - and it can also be knitted up for ferrets and rats!

SIZING

Sizes 1, 2 ( 3, 4, 5 ) 6, 7 for finished sweater circumferences of 8 ¾, 9 ¾ ( 10 ⅜, 11 ⅜, 11 ⅞ ) 12 ½, 13 ½” or 22.2, 24.9 ( 26.2, 29.0, 30.3 ) 31.7, 34.4 cm with ½ - ¾“ (1.2 - 1.9 cm) positive ease for the body circumference.

TOOLS

• US 2 (2.75 mm) needles: 12+” (30+ cm) circular needles or 12” (30 cm) straight needles for body, double-pointed needles for sleeves.
• US 3 (3.25 mm) needles: 12+” (30+ cm) circular needles or 12” (30 cm) straight needles for cast¬ing on.
• Tapestry needle.
• Measuring tape.
• Scissors.
• Fingering weight yarn (see YARN).
• 1/2” (12 mm) buttons 4, 4 ( 5, 6, 6 ) 7, 7.
• Three stitch markers: Marker 1 (M1), Marker 2 (M2), and beginning of round marker (BOR).

GAUGE

On US 2 (2.75 mm) needles or size required for gauge, 30 stitches and 40 rows in 4 x 4” or (10 x 10 cm) in stockinette stitch, blocked.

YARN

• 74, 78 ( 88, 98, 118 ) 134, 150 yards or 15, 16 ( 18, 20, 24 ) 27, 30 grams.
• Fingering weight yarn: Fiber content: 100% natural fiber, 3-4 ply for durability.
• Yarn used in this pattern: “Dance to This” dyed by Ryan Yarn on the Squishy Sock yarn base. 100% superwash merino. 490 yards / 100 gram skein.
