This pattern is for the mouse and all of the celebration costumes and accessories shown, including the Easter bunny, graduation and leprechaun outfits.

The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:

Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK yarn for the majority of my project (this is quite a thick DK yarn so it is equivalent to aran or light worsted weight in other brands) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn to make both your mouse & the clothing / accessories to ensure that they will fit.

For the mouse (pages 4 - 8) you will need the following colours:

  • Main mouse colour - I used pale grey (approx. 23.5m per mouse).
  • Nose / ears / feet / tail - I used pale pink (approx. 13m per mouse).

For the graduation outfit (pages 9 - 11) you will need the following colours / quantities:

  • Black - for the robes & mortar board (approx. 26m).
  • Gold or Yellow - for the tassel on the mortar board (approx. 0.25m).
  • Sash colour - I used blue (approx. 2.5m).
  • White - for the scroll (approx. 5m).

For the Leprechaun outfit (pages 12 - 17) you will need the following colours / quantities:

  • Dark green - For the jacket, hat and trousers (approx. 34m).
  • Light green - for the shirt and shamrock (approx. 6.5m).
  • Brown - for the belt and shoes (approx. 9.5m).
  • Black - for the pot (approx. 17.5m).
  • Yellow - for the buckle details and the cheese (approx. 13m).

For the Easter bunny outfit (pages 18 - 22) you will need the following colours / quantities:

  • Main colour - I used white (approx. 31m).
  • Orange - for the carrot (approx. 2.5m).
  • Dark green - for the leaves on the carrot (approx. 1.5m).
  • Basket colour - I used beige (approx. 5.5m).
  • Easter egg colour - I used blue (approx. 3m).

Please note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice.

You will also need:

  • A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.

  • A pair of 6mm black safety eyes.

  • Some toy stuffing.

  • Some finer black yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face.

  • 2 small buttons for the leprechaun outfit (the ones I used were 14mm in diameter) and a needle and thread with which to attach them.

  • If you would like the mouse to be able to hold the carrot or shamrock, you can attach clear plastic 7mm press studs / snap fasteners to them (this step is optional).

  • Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
Thank you.
