Overview

The Celina Bandana is worked from the bottom up. The stitch pattern is a simple 2 row repeat of knits, knits below and purls. You work increases as you go and you can make a smaller bandana or a bigger shawl. This project is a great way to use up scraps or mini skeins. The small bandana version can be made out of 3 20g minis or you can make a bigger version with more colours or more yarn.

Sizes
20g/ 80m of each colour will make a bandana 100 cm long and 35 cm wide.

50g/ 200m of each colour will make a shawl 160cm long and 52cm wide.

You can work more or fewer repeats of the pattern to make any size you’d like.

Yarn
This pattern uses fingering yarn. Kid silk held double would also work well. I suggest using at least 3 coulours. You can use more colours but using an odd number of colours works best.

Needles
4 mm

Notions
-stitch markers

Gauge
16 stitches x 43 rows = 10cm / 4 inches knit in pattern. Using 4mm needles.
Since this is an accessory getting exact gauge isn’t necessary. You’re aiming for your drapey fabric.
