This capelet will fit anyone, given that the size is governed by the original cable panel length. The cable panel is worked flat until it is long enough to wrap around both shoulders and is then seamed together using kitchener stitch. The stitches from the edges are picked up and worked in the round for the yoke and capelet.

The structure is maintained by knitting the cable panel and upper yoke on a smaller needle, while changing to a larger needle gives a pleasant drape. The increases at the lower portion give the capelet a feminine flair and allow for maximum reach while wearing.

This pattern should work with any worsted weight yarns, but i found that the cotton was just the right weight to be able to have structure at the top while draping nicely without sagging at the bottom. Also, the I-cord bind off at the neck and lower edge provide just the right amount of weight.
