I love the look of crochet cables, so designed a blanket that would incorporate different cable stitches in a log cabin style blanket.

You begin with a center block of cables and vines and work outwards. There are 9 different blocks.

Yarn: Red Heart Comfort 4 balls 454g/16 oz, 792m/867 yds OR 3170m/3470 yds of worsted weight yarn (I actually only used about 3 1/2 balls).

Crochet hook: US 8/H (5mm)

Finished measurements: 50” (127cm) wide X 60” (152cm) long

Experience level: Intermediate, you may want to have some experience working cables.
