The Certus Socks are worked in mosaic knitting in the round, which is a deceptively easy way to do colour work, only using one colour at a time. The pattern is easy to memorise, and your work is easy to read, so it’s a relaxing knit.
These socks are worked from the cuff down, with the mosaic pattern continuing all the way down the foot, including the sole, with an interesting gusset detail, along with a traditional heel flap and turn.
The Certus Socks pattern is a fun introduction mosaic knitting. And because the pattern combines 2 different coloured yarns, it’s a good way to use leftover sock yarn as well!
Try combining a very bright, bold colour with a subtle neutral colour, or a classic light and dark combination. Maybe you have a special speckled skein in your stash that you want to combine with a bold tonal skein? There’s so many combinations that will work beautifully with this fun and addictive pattern.

Written instructions, with the mosaic sections in chart form.
