Chain Beanie is a cozy, textured hat worked in the round with worsted weight yarn. The faux cable design is created using a simple yarn over and a unique stitch called the MCDD (modified center double decrease)—no cable needle required!

This pattern features:

Knitting in the round

Chain stitch texture using the MCDD stitch

Optional fur pompom and pompom button for a no-sew finish

Matching patterns available: Chain Ankle Socks + Chain Bonnet

You’ll need:

Berroco Vintage

4.5mm circular or DPN needles

A fur pompom (optional)

A pompom button (optional)

Whether you’re stash-busting or knitting a matching set, Chain Beanie is a quick, satisfying project that adds a little something special to your handmade collection.
