Chained is a hat using a double crochet cluster stitch, which results in a beautiful texture that is less complicated than it looks. This pattern comes with multiple options - regular beanie vs messy bun style, 2 different brims, 4 sizes, plus an optional “chain” embellishment down one side.  

While the pattern calls for bulky weight yarn, I had great fun stash busting by holding two lighter strands together while making the samples.
