El chal Asturcón es un chal triangular creciente (winged triangular). Este tipo de chales crece más a lo largo que a lo ancho, lo que los hace más cómodos de llevar. Alterna secciones de punto jersey con diferentes variaciones de un calado clásico llamado punto de herradura (horseshoe lace) separadas entre sí por pequeñas franjas de punto bobo.

Debe su nombre a los asturcones, que son una raza de pequeños caballos rústicos de origen asturiano. Es una de las razas que habitan en las montañas del norte de la Península Ibérica desde la Antigüedad.

Color B: Indoluna Yarns Salsa color Fudge (425 metros en 100 gramos). He gastado unos 85 gramos, unos 400 metros. Es para las secciones de calado.

Color C: Drops Flora color Coral (número 19) (420 metros en 100 gramos). He gastado unos 35 gramos, unos 150 metros. Es para las rayas de punto bobo.

Asturcón shawl is a winged triangular shawl. This kind of shawls grow more in length than in depth, making them more comfortable to wear. It alternates stockinette stitch sections with different variations of a classical lace pattern called horseshoe lace divided by narrow stripes made of garter stitch.

The name comes from a race of small rustic horses (the Asturcón horse) that has lived in the northern mountains of Spain since ancient times.
