The Chal Cijuela is worked top down using two different types of fibre: linen and cotton. The linen is laceweight Encayarns and the cotton is fingering weight. This combination of different weights gives the shawl some sections which are more transparent than others because it is worked with the same size needle throughout (3,5mm).

-Linen needed: 88g, 407m.
-Cotton needed: 76g, 272m.

This is a shawl that can be knit almost without counting your stitches, designed to be an easy knit that is still made interesting by the changing of colour and fibre in the striped sections, which are worked by carrying the yarn up the sides so there is no need to cut the yarn.
