Inspiration: The Butterfly Dance
The “Chal Mariposas” is named for its central lace motif, which resembles a small butterfly. Inspired by a desire for irregular, yet symmetrical shape, the design features three delicate half-circles. The ruffled border is added to the final section for a beautiful flirty touch.

2 skeins of Patagonian Merino Light Fingering by Bagual (100% Merino Wool, Light Fingering weight; 600m/100g).
Main Color (MC): 90g (Color 230)
Contrasting Color (CC) / Ruffle: 30g (Color 230m)
Yarn Note & Substitution: Any lightweight yarn (Light Fingering or Fingering weight) can be substituted, provided you have approximately 700m (765 yards) available. This is a mid-season accessory, so choose an appropriate yarn so it doesn’t become too heavy. For the lace to be best appreciated, we recommend solid, semi-solid, or subtly speckled/degrade colors.
