This pattern is for a beautiful banner, that would be perfect for a home altar, or for the front door when a member of the family receives their 1st Holy Communion, or for a church door. It would also be a beautiful reminder of the Feast of Corpus Christi (June 11th 2020) which celebrates the Eucharist’s true meaning in Catholic tradition.

This banner is made in filet crochet, and there is a link to a video which will walk you step by step to follow a filet crochet chart. I’ve also included written directions that simply list X for a filled in square, and O for an open square. Using both can help you if you are new to this style of crochet.

This size was based off the 3dc square, but some people like to do 4dc for each square. If you do that, it will be larger. I’ve also included links to how to wrap a stick or dowel rod around the top of the banner, so that you an hang it on a nail, as well as a video about how to do the chainless foundation row (which I prefer), but that’s optional.

Please remember that you can sell the finished item made from my pattern, but please do not sell the pattern itself, or give it away for free. I’m keeping my prices low so that anyone can afford to pick up a copy if they like it.
