This easy crochet pattern is an homage to the iconic stripes of the Rio Grande weaving style from Tierra Wools in Chama, New Mexico.

This throw blanket is an excellent first project for people of all ages learning to crochet. For more experienced stitchers, it’s a quick, relaxing project. After the foundation row, every row is all double crochet stitches worked between the stitches of the previous row.

The pattern includes a photo tutorial and a link to a tutorial video for one of my other patterns that uses the same stitch.
