Chamallow is a cardigan knitted from the bottom up. It begins with a few rows of ribbing, then the body is worked flat. A series of increases is worked just before the fronts are separated from the back to shape the armholes. The back and both fronts are then worked flat and joined with a three-needle bind-off. Stitches are placed on hold to work the neckband later. Stitches are picked up around the armholes to knit the sleeves in the round. Finally, the neckline stitches are picked up to knit the neckband, and stitches are picked up along the fronts to knit the button bands.
