I have implemented the Pay What You Can system. Each item is listed at what I think is fair for my work and designing each item. But due to circumstances out of each of our control, I want to make sure my patterns are accessible for everyone. Use code OLIVE to save $1 off this pattern.

Chance of Flurries is a creative, squishy pattern knit in simple stitches. It knits up into a very textured and ribbed hat without the usual sequence of knit and purl. The hat is reversible if you are careful of how you weave in your ends and don’t use a pompom. Hat circumference measures 19” not stretched. It will fit up to 23”. It is very stretchy.

Sample hat was knit with Mountain Top Alpacas Silk & Viscose yarn. It is listed from the supplier as sport weight. However, I found the yarn to lean more towards a heavy DK/ worsted. The supplier can be found on Facebook at Mountain Top Alpacas Fiber Fantasy Marketplace.

Any DK or Worsted weight may be used as long as you meet gauge: 20 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches (10cm) in Seed Stitch which comes from the brim.

One stitch used is a PFB or purl front and back in the same stitch. Here is a video showing how to execute the stitch:
